Climbing New Heights is permitted by the Monongahela National Forest and the State of WV Division of Natural Resources to guide you to the only true climbing summit in the East, the amazing Seneca Rocks. 

Climbers do not need to have prior outdoor climbing experience. Beginners are welcome and will be instructed on how to pull gear and lead belay. Gear is available for rental, or climbers can bring their own harness, helmet, shoes, and chalk.

A guided climb at Seneca Rocks is a full-day adventure. The journey begins at the parking lot by the Seneca Rocks Discovery Center (next to the helicopter pad on Roy Gap Rd.) Next, the crew will hike in on a technical trail for 10-25 minutes to the base of the South Peak Summit. Climbers can expect to complete 4-6 pitches and reach the spectacular view from the summit. The day wraps up with a rappel down from the summit and the hike out.
